Backstory
This was my first project using Adobe Illustrator. It was interesting to observe everyday architectural details around campus that I would typically overlook and transform them into visually striking pieces of art, highlighting the beauty in the mundane.
Challenges
Working with a limited color palette of just five colors while also managing to carefully photograph architectural details that I could realistically recreate in Illustrator, all while balancing the time constraints.
The Task
Create an abstract composition inspired by the De Stijl movement using photographed architectural details from USF’s campus in Adobe Illustrator. Each image was outlined into vectorized forms and colored using a limited color palette to accentuate structure and dimension.
