A little about Solé:
From a young age, I’ve always had a strong eye for design and a passion for creating but i’ve come a long way from drawing Pokémon in my bedroom. Growing up as the eldest of six in a small, mining town in Southern California, I learned early on how to make the most out of very little. Living below the poverty line taught me resourcefulness—building bed frames from crates, crafting homemade holiday decorations, and filling my walls with my own artwork. These experiences shaped my creativity and instilled in me a deep empathy and compassion for others.
In high school, I loved science for its balance between creativity and logic, which naturally led me to pursue a design major with a computer science minor. Today, I’m passionate about combining aesthetics with practicality and functionality, always striving to create meaningful, accessible designs that improve people’s lives, even in small ways.
Outside of design, you can usually find me playing games like The Sims 4, reading gothic literature, or crafting the perfect review on Letterboxd. Through my work and everyday life, I’m continually inspired by the challenge of blending form and function, aiming to make a positive impact on those around me.
